Apple Vision Pro: 150 films and 250 games are already available

Apple has just published new information on the Vision Pro, and in particular on its catalog.


 

Apple released one of the most important press releases of its year this week. While the technological world had its eyes on CES and Las Vegas , it was on the Cupertino side that Apple caught our attention with an announcement, the Apple Vision Pro is arriving.

As had already been predicted for several weeks by various analysts, Apple got down to business with a launch at the very beginning of February and pre-orders open at the end of January. As a reminder, Apple's Vision Pro will however only be available in the United States, it is impossible to order one from France.

Films and video games galore

The announcement of the upcoming release of the Vision Pro allowed Apple to say a little more about the features that will be present in the headset at launch. Thus the Cupertino company notably took stock in its press release on the “space” films and video games that will be available.

According to Apple, more than 150 titles will be at your fingertips from the launch of the brand's first “space computer”. As Tim Cook's teams point out in their press release, all the titles that are currently available on Apple TV are compatible with Apple's Vision Pro.

A new format especially for the Vision Pro

However, some of these feature films are only in 2D while others have had the right to evolve towards very advanced 3D. To successfully produce videos in the right format for the headset, Apple has developed its own standard, Apple Immersive Video. Thanks to the latter, video content is transmitted in 8K with a viewing angle of 180°. The user is immersed in the scene as rarely.

This same standard will be used for video games which should be available in large numbers on the Vision Pro. For now, virtual reality headsets have had very specific uses for game consoles, and Apple has not completely distanced itself from them. Apple knows that part of its audience will be attracted to gaming in a virtual universe and it intends to offer them a very high-level experience.
