Wipro and SIAM.AI Partner to Build AI Assistant for Thailand's Tourism Authority Using Nvidia AI

Bangkok, Thailand — In a move aimed at revolutionizing the tourism sector, Wipro, a global leader in information technology services, has announced a strategic partnership with SIAM.AI to develop an AI-powered assistant for the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). The collaboration will leverage Nvidia’s advanced AI technologies to create a cutting-edge digital assistant designed to enhance the tourism experience for both visitors and local businesses.

The AI assistant, which will be integrated into TAT’s digital platforms, aims to offer real-time personalized recommendations, answer tourist inquiries, and provide travel-related services. It will also assist in promoting various tourism programs, including local attractions, cultural experiences, and hospitality services across the country.

Leveraging Nvidia AI Technology
At the heart of the project is Nvidia’s AI platform, known for its robust capabilities in natural language processing and machine learning. By harnessing the power of Nvidia’s GPUs and AI software, the assistant will be able to engage in meaningful conversations with users, providing timely and accurate information in multiple languages, including Thai and English.

“Thailand’s tourism sector has been evolving rapidly, and we see AI as a powerful tool to enhance both the tourist experience and operational efficiency,” said Rishad Premji, Executive Chairman of Wipro. “By combining our technological expertise with SIAM.AI’s local insights and Nvidia’s AI platform, we are excited to drive innovation and transformation in the tourism industry.”

Supporting Thailand’s Tourism Revival
This partnership comes at a crucial time for Thailand, which is working to recover and rebuild its tourism industry in the wake of the pandemic. The AI assistant will serve as a valuable resource for travelers, providing real-time updates on everything from weather conditions to travel advisories and popular tourist spots.

“We are excited to collaborate with Wipro and SIAM.AI on this pioneering project that will shape the future of tourism in Thailand,” said TAT Governor Yuthasak Supasorn. “By using AI to connect tourists with the unique offerings of our country, we aim to foster a more dynamic, immersive, and sustainable tourism experience.”

A Step Towards Smart Tourism
The partnership between Wipro, SIAM.AI, and the Tourism Authority of Thailand is part of a broader push toward smart tourism, where digital technologies are used to improve services, enhance customer engagement, and streamline operations. As AI continues to evolve, this collaboration is poised to set a benchmark for future projects in the global tourism industry.

The AI assistant is expected to roll out in phases, with an initial pilot program scheduled for later this year. The long-term goal is to scale the solution to cater to millions of tourists visiting Thailand annually.
